Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.” (verses 14-16)

To those who set their love upon God, He promises to reward them with good years on this earth, filled to the full (in excess, beyond natural sufficiency) with old age—satisfying their desires…

And show His salvation!

Remember “show and tell”? Here’s how it went when I was in 1st grade. Usually you’d take something to class you liked a lot and wanted to share with others. Maybe you chose the object because you wanted to let the class see you had a cool treasure. It had to be something you liked so it was easy to talk about. You’d get up in front of the class and hold out your treasure for all to see. After they had a good look, you did the “telling” part…you talked about it. If the object did anything special or unique, you demonstrated that, explaining to everyone what it was and what it did and why you chose it for “show and tell”. If it was really cool or unique, and you did a good job with the “telling” part, you got to walk around the class letting each person see it up close and personal like.

God has His own version of “show and tell” that outclasses any other, but more on that later.

Here’s the Hebrew meaning for the verb to SHOW: to cause to see, to cause to look intently and gaze at, to look closely. Included in the definition is the word “face”…like to look so closely and intently it is “in your face”; you witness it first hand; you see and know by personally being present. In other words, you come “face to face” with it. This implies that whatever “it” is, you will not be able to ignore it because it will be right in your face causing you to give attention to it. The word “show” also implies the idea of watching and learning, observing and discovering. The implication here is that whatever “it” is that is being “shown”, it has the power to draw one in closer so as to continue watching, learning, observing, and finding out more….getting the picture?

What is it that our God promises to demonstrate and cause us to see so closely that we cannot ignore it? What has the power to cause us to look closely, gazing with full attention, drawing us in and beckoning us to come closer and closer to continue to watch and learn?

HIS SALVATION

YESHUW ‘AH

GOD’S HELP, DELIVERANCE, SAFETY, HEALTH, WELFARE, PROSPERITY

To the one who sets their love upon Him, God will show Himself strong on that one’s behalf. He will demonstrate His power and go to whatever lengths to help and deliver. When the storms of life come, and they do, He will be right there with that one to cover, defend, protect, guide, keep safe, heal and restore to health and total well being in every area of life. This is God’s life to His fullest. This is His best.

Back to “show and tell”. God will never be outdone. God can’t be outdone. He’s simply the best at everything because He is the best. So when it was God’s turn for “show and tell”, if you will, He brought His best to class, and not only did He show, demonstrate and talk about His treasure, He walked all over that whole class giving each one the opportunity to individually see up close and personal what that treasure was like and what it was capable of doing. Then He did the ultimate. He gave it away. God gave the whole class, each one personally and individually, the opportunity to actually take that treasure home as a gift. God brought Himself to class for “show and tell”, and then went home with whoever wanted to accept Him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.” John 3:16-17

Our good God, our loving Father, demonstrated His love for us by sending His Son in the form of man to save us from our sins, restore us back to right relationship with Him, and give us His life..eternal life. Jesus, who’s name means The Lord is Salvation, is the treasure He chose to bring to class and there is nothing…no thing…zilch..that can top Him!

Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen Me, has seen the Father.” He walked this earth causing people to look closely and witness the love of His Father. Every healing, every deliverance, every act of love, every Word Jesus spoke came from Father God. Jesus came to SHOW AND TELL us what God is like and to give the world the gift of salvation…deliverance, help, health, wholenss, safety, welfare, prosperity.

Jesus was God right there in the world’s face, and He could not be ignored. He did such a perfect job of “showing and telling”, that after He died for our sins and rose again to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, He sent back His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to draw people to Himself and to live up close and personally in each one who would receive Him. God brought us His best, Himself, in Jesus, His salvation. He showed us Himself in Jesus who went about doing good and healing all. Jesus demonstrated to the world what God was like, Who He really is. Then God did the ultimate and gave Himself to all who would receive Him.

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the power and right to become the children of God…” John 1:12

And the really cool thing is that now, “show and tell” continues through whosoever will receive Jesus and the gift of salvation.

So we are Christ’s ambassadorsGod making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

And then he told them, You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere….And the disciples went everywhere preaching, and the Lord was with them and confirmed what they said by the miracles that followed their messages.” Mark 16:15&20

Lord, help us to love You with all our hearts and to love others as we do ourselves, so much so, that we will demonstrate Your love, showing and telling who You are and what You are really like and sharing the gift of salvation that Jesus paid with His life for this world to have.

Amen!
